Good luck charm to help you do your best! Those are actual omamori, made out of embroidered fabric! They're 4x6cm and have dried lavender tea leaves inside.

Omamori are Japanese good luck charms, whenever I visit Japan I buy a bunch of them, I think they make great souvenirs plus I use a few of them as actual keychains or just to have around the house. While this one isn't actually blessed by a shrine, I hope it will still inspire you to do your best and work as hard as Applejack!
